I grew up in Atlantis, Cape Town. We had a humble home that required my parents to make many sacrifices for my twin and myself. Our community had few opportunities in those days and was plagued by drug related crime and gangsterism. And yet my parents were incredibly involved in our lives and continued to plough their energy into us and sow seeds in our close nit community by actively participating in the betterment of youth enrichment programmes.

This saw to it that we felt empowered and not trapped by our environment and over the years the potential that was sometimes deeply hidden by the humblest of circumstances has revealed great personal success stories. Many such individuals have gone on to become celebrities, athletes and professional people who travel the world. They have chosen to continue paying it forward to the community that we grew up in and have built schools and outreach programs to help empower the less fortunate. This has gone a long way to ensure that the potential outweighs the stigma of growing up in such a community.

I have been raised with strong beliefs and one of them is that you can be anything that you want to be! Your humble beginnings do not have to stop you from living your dream, because “if you can dream it, you can do it”!

And it was with this attitude I took my spirited, independent, self, off to Gauteng in 2009.

I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and two healthy children and although I work full-time, I have never given up on my dream to start my own business.  Finding and keeping the balance between work and family is never easy, but despite this, I explored my options, done the research and asked myself what the one thing was that made ME feel good! Looking good? Spoiling myself when I got my pay cheque or did something deserving? But how?

The good products are mainly imported and are crazy expensive. Not all have been created with the South African climate in mind. With my sensitive skin, the only way forward was to develop a range that would work for Me and Just For You!

At Me ~ Just For You, we believe that South African’s need essential skincare and whilst facial serums may seem like a luxury, they do in fact perform an entire range of functions that not only keep you looking beautiful, but also enhance your skin’s natural beauty whilst at the same time stimulating it’s natural defenses and thereby preventing problems before they occur.

It was precisely this that inspired me to create a simply range of affordable, high end skincare products.
